how to get your fide id
Here are 2 main ways to obtain a FIDE ID:
1. Through Your National Chess Federation (Recommended)
Most national chess federations issue FIDE IDs either for free or for a small fee, typically within a few days. You’ll need to submit your passport and a photo ID as part of the process. This is a one-time registration, and your FIDE ID will remain valid for life.
-
To find your federation’s email address. Visit: FIDE Member Federations Directory.
-
Alternatively, you can contact the rating officer of your national federation and request your FIDE ID.
For Filipino Citizens:
1. Register for NCFP (National ID) by filling out this form.
2. Once you receive your NCFP ID, email the federation at ncfpevent@gmail.com to request your FIDE ID.
For Indian Citizens:
1. Register for an AICF ID (National ID) by filling out this form.
2. Once you receive your AICF ID, email the federation at indianchessfed@gmail.com to request your FIDE ID.
2. Directly from FIDE Arena (Paid Option)
If you prefer, you can obtain a FIDE ID directly through the FIDE Arena . Follow the steps from FIDE Arena chessarena.com.
-
The cost is approximately €25 and will take 3-5 days.
-
With this method, you will play under the FIDE flag instead of a national federation.
-
A yearly renewal is required for this.
